Alternative solution proposes that in lieu of audible fire alarm (FA) signaling within the space, only visual FA signaling be provided. The visual signal will be a dual-emergency communication strobe, which will signal one colour upon activation of first stage FA, and another colour upon activation of second stage FA. This is the same solution as that installed in another call centre within the same building as well as at the City's EMS HQ facility at 4330 Dufferin Street.
